Strathallan by-election date set

A BY-ELECTION to fill the Perthshire post left vacant after the sudden death of SNP councillor John Law will be held in May.

Blackford resident Mr Law, one of three councillors for Perth and Kinross Council’s Strathallan ward, died of a suspected heart attack last month.

Paying tribute to Mr Law, Perth MSP and personal friend Roseanna Cunningham said: “He was a fantastic councillor and will be sorely missed by everyone in the party, in the council and in his ward.”
