ADVENTURER Mark Beaumont has another hit on his hands.

The endurance cyclist from Bridge of Cally recently completed am amazing solo journey from Alaska to the tip of South America, conquering the continent’s two highest peaks along the way.

He found time to capture memorable footage of the challenge and it has been edited down for three BBC programmes.

The first section of the ride was broadcast on Tuesday and the next two legs will be highlighted on Tuesday, then on April 6.

Mark, who won a major national award for his book on circumnavigating the world on a bike, said: “The next leg focuses on my ride through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Panama.

“Then it’s the final push through South America the following week.

“I really enjoyed the camera aspect of the journey, along with keeping in touch with people all over the world who were following my progress on Twitter and the website.”
