To mark the start of Perth Day, the special service at 10.30am will be conducted by the Reverend Jim Wallace, minister St John's Kirk, with the sermon being given by Right Rev John Christie, Moderator of the General Assembly.
Also participating are Most Rev David Shillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, Primate of the Episcopal Church in Scotland and Right Rev Vincent Logan, Roman Catholic Bishop of Dunkeld.

They will be joined by visiting twin town delegations as well representative bodies from across the city.
Prior to the service the bells of the kirk will ring out a welcome with what Ian Cassells, the carillonneur, describes as “a recital of rousing and martial music including the national anthems of the visiting delegations”.
