FORMER PADS dog Bramble is first in line for a creamy slurp at the dog rescue charity’s Strawberry Tea and Race Day this Sunday (July 24).
But it looks as though 12-year-old Bramble just could not wait for the treat!
The Perthshire Abandoned Dogs Society Strawberry Tea and Race Day is open to all (entry £5) at Holmwood, Golf Course Road, Blairgowrie, PH10 6LJ, from 2pm until 4.30pm on Sunday.
This is a new summer PADS charity event to raise funds for the care and rehoming of abandoned and homeless dogs. If the weather is bad, the venue will be switched to Blairgowrie Town Hall. Holmwood is the home of organiser of the tea, Helen Gordon-Wilson and is at the Cupar Angus Road end of Golf Course Road. Watch for the signs.
Helen, Bramble’s owner, said: “It should be a real fun day for all. We have horse racing, rotating barrel, a silent auction, fun for the kinds, and, of course, the strawberries and cream, of course.
“All are welcome, including dogs on leads, and we have two experts on hand, one to sort out any canine scuffles and one to take dogs on walks. There are few places now where folk can happily take their dogs knowing they will be welcome and well cared for, but this event is one of them!”
