Coop makeover in Crieff

THE Co-operative is investing £320,000 in its food store in Crieff to improve its layout and displays.

The investment will upgrade the store, with aisles being extended to allow for additional ranges to be introduced, new internal signage and decoration, and new fixtures and fittings.

Manager Liam Higgins said: “Upgrading the store will freshen up the shopping experience and improve the vitality of the area, so I look forward to welcoming customers into the new-look store.”

The retailer, the UK’s fifth-biggest, has a food store in every postal area of the UK.

The store will remain open while work is carried out and work will be completed on Thursday. Once the store relaunches, opening hours will remain 7am until 10pm every day.

The Crieff supermarket was formerly a Somerfield outlet, which the Coop took over in March 2009.
