FOUR Perthshire nurseries have been rewarded for their environmental efforts.
The latest recipients of a green award from Eco Schools Scotland, part of Keep Scotland Beautiful, are Balbeggie Primary, Craigie Primary in Perth, Invergowrie Primary and Morrison’s Academy in Crieff.
Youngsters at Balbeggie developed an eco board and child-friendly action plan explaining the focus of their efforts.
Craigie Primary’s nursery class worked in groups to build a habitat for ‘mini beasts’ and created eco work presentations.
Invergowrie kids have been studying food sustainability with other schools and nurseries and Morrison’s nursery pupils created displays exemplifying the links between curricular work and the Eco Schools programme.
