It’s the year of Natural Scotland and what better way to celebrate than experiencing first hand the incredible beauty in our own backyard?
Whether by boat, bus or train, it’s time to get out and explore this beautiful land of ours.
Visit Scotland has joined forces with the Daily Record and Media Scotland’s 17 regional titles to offer our readers 15,000 free travel tickets.
Every week until the end of March, the Perthshire Advertiser will be giving readers a choice of destinations to visit.
Iconic landmarks, memorable locations and must-see sights are all within reach with our complimentary tickets.
You could set sail with Caledonian MacBrayne to one of the beautiful islands off the west coast, or go further afield with NorthLink to Orkney and Shetland, the last untamed corner of Britain.
Sometimes getting there is half the fun.
There are many wonderful train journeys you can enjoy with ScotRail, from the West Highland Line made famous by Harry Potter, to the Far North Line, transporting you to the furthest reaches of Scotland.
Or explore the country by bus, and let Stagecoach and Citylink show you the way.
You could visit one of Scotland’s many National Nature Reserves. Located all over the country, they are accessible to all and make a wonderful day trip.
Mike Cantlay, Chairman of VisitScotland, said: “The Big April Adventures is all about getting Scotland’s explorers out and about to experience our wonderful country for themselves in this the Year of Natural Scotland.
“We’ll be making sure that thousands of people will be going to all corners of Scotland over land and sea, experiencing new adventures and landscapes.”
If your first choice doesn’t come up one week, you may be lucky the next, as there are four weekly ballots.
Your outward journey must take place in April but the return date is valid for one month.
