Pickpockets at work

A MAN was pick-pocketed in the centre of Perth on Friday evening.

At 5.35pm on South Street an 18-year-old was approached by three men. While they engaged him in conversation one of the party dipped into the victim’s pocket and stole his cash.

The trio then left and are believed to have met up with another group of men.

The pick-pocketer is described as aged around 23 or 24, 6’2” tall, slim build with short blond hair. He is missing two top teeth and was wearing a long-sleeved, white, zip-up top.

His accomplices were a man aged 22-25, 5’9”, of thin build, who was wearing blue tracksuit trousers with a zip-up top.

And another male aged around 23, 5’7” tall, he had a skin head and was wearing a black and grey striped top and jeans.

A FARM at Strathord, near Redgorton, has been hit twice over three nights by fuel thieves.

On Friday night into Saturday a quantity of diesel was stolen from a tank at the agricultural site. Thieves, thirsty for more fuel, then returned to the site on Sunday night to steal more diesel.

POLICE are investigating a theft from a house on Perth’s Castle Place. Between midnight and 8am on Friday a digital camera, PlayStation 2, mobile phone and medication were stolen.

A HOUSE under construction on Scone’s Angus Road has been visited by thieves.

Between 4pm on Thursday and 9.30am on Friday, power tools were stolen from the building site. Officers are keen to trace a vehicle seen in the area. It was a white van with ‘Ground Quest’ on the side. The van had a Scottish saltire flag emblem on the left side and an English flag on the dashboard.

IN RATTRAY, a shed and garage of a High Street property were broken into on Saturday night.

Sometime on Saturday night or Sunday morning rucksacks, walking boots, a camera and some alcohol stored in the buildings were stolen.

A VEHICLE parked on Perth’s Alexandra Street was broken into at 6pm on Sunday.

Bags stored in the Citroen Berlingo van were stolen. A woman, around 5’4” tall, with strawberry blonde hair and wearing a black bomber jacket and jeans was seen running off with the bags.

She was accompanied by a male, around 6’ tall, who was wearing a light grey hooded top.
