Drink drive charge case to be continued

A SCONE man, charged with driving while almost four times the legal alcohol limit, had his case continued without plea at the Sheriff Court to August 26.
Robert Smith (50), of Marlee Place, has been ordered to appear personally that day – or produce a medical certificate explaining his absence.
He has been charged with driving in Victoria Road, Angus Road and Marlee Place, Scone, on July 27 with 124mics. of alcohol. The maximum is 35.
The court was told on Friday that he had been signed off work with bronchitis and was unable to appear.
