A BOY killed in an accident on a Big County road on Friday night has been named as seven-year-old Benjamin Paton, from Peebles.
His father Allan (44) was taken to Dundee’s Ninewells hospital where he was treated for serious injuries after the two-car crash at the Tibbermore junction of the Perth-to-Stirling A9 at about 6.20pm.
Two other people involved in the incident were also taken to hospital.
Paramedics and a trauma team attended but there was nothing they could do for Benjamin who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tayside Police are aware that a number of individuals stopped at the scene to assist but left prior to the arrival of police.
