Mum badly hurt in crash

A PERTHSHIRE mother was rushed to Dundee’s Ninewells hospital with serious injuries this week after her car collided with a tree.

The 30-year-old, who is believed to be from the Meigle area, subsequently underwent emergency surgery for multiple fractures and a collapsed lung.

Following surgery her condition stabilised.

Her 14-month-old child, who was strapped in a rear seat, was unhurt in the smash.

The B954 between Muirhead and Newtyle was closed for three hours from around 3pm while emergency services assessed the scene.
