PERTH Academy's second year pupils recently competed in the Dish of the Day cookery competition in the Home Economics Department.
Pupils had to come up with their own choice of meals, with the winning dishes being made available in the school cafeteria. The 11 finalists cooked off on Friday. Judges from Tayside Contracts had a difficult time in deciding the winners, but eventually crown Frederik Lyneborg, with his Italian Meatballs with Tagliatelle, winner. Alexander Lamont, who produced chicken in sauce with rice came in second, and Olivia Houston's Chicken enchiladas took third place.
The winner received a trophy and recipe book from Tayside Contracts, and a smoothie maker, a recipe book and chefs whites from the school's PSA fund.
All 10 of the finalists also received trophies and recipe books.
