MUIRTON Community Nursery has been marked excellent following an unannounced visit from Care Commission officers in October.
In their first inspection report based on the new grading system they were assessed on quality of care and support, environment, staffing and management and leadership and were awarded a six for each category.
In the report inspectors found the children to be “extremely happy, relaxed and content as they confidently and comfortably concentrated on their chosen activities within the fun, friendly environment.”
Project manager Linda Sanderson said, “We are delighted to receive such a positive report.
“It reflects all the hard work put in by staff and management committee.
“We have always been lucky enough to have motivated and dedicated staff and parents who give up their time to serve on the management committee and it’s good to have this recognised by the commission.”
