Pupils’ Musical Showcase

STRATHALLAN School recently preformed a Musical Showcase to a large audience in Perth Concert Hall. The evening saw a wide variety of performances ranging from the school’s pipe band to the angelic sound of the clarsach, as well as the orchestra, chamber choir, choral scholars, and a range of bands and ensembles.

Musical highlights included Rejoice in the Lamb by Benjamin Britten performed by the chapel choir, the choral scholars and string orchestra performing Lennox Berkely’s The Lord is my Shepherd, the wind band performing a medley from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and finishing off with n set of ‘Basin Street Blues’ and ‘Ain’t That a Kick in the Head’ by the swing band.

More than 100 performers from age 11 took to the stage. Pictured is the chamber choir.
