THE Community School of Auchterarder’s Parent Council Forum is calling on the community to join in the festive spirit by turning out to support its annual Christmas fair on Saturday, December 6, from 1 – 3.30pm.
There will be a number of stalls, jewellery, handmade cards, stained glass, soaps. Attractions will also include cake and candy, craft area and face painting for the younger visitors, raffle, bottle stall, as well as refreshments.
Pupils will be providing festive music, with others taking the opportunity to display their talents by selling their handmade gifts.
Organisers have also confirmed Santa will be taking a break from his busy schedule to make a guest appearance.
Auchterarder Inner Wheel will be posing as Santa’s little helpers to receive any new or used toys to be distributed to those less fortunate
Last year’s Christmas Fair raised a magnificent £1000.
Meanwhile Perthshire Chamber of Commerce is holding a Christmas coffee morning for members at the Glenearn Road Algo Business Centre on Tuesday, December 2, 10am to noon.
There is no charge thanks to sponsorship by Alex Cairncross Silver Gifts.
Anne Mackinnon of Caledonia Coffee Roasters is also backing an event which will support the PKAVS Christmas Goodwill Scheme.
Those attending are encouraged to bring along a gift or voucher, preferably for a teenager.
