Joint effort sees new garden open

PERTHSHIRE politician John Swinney opened a new garden at Grandtully Primary School over the weekend.

Pupils, parents and staff have worked tirelessly to craft the development, supported by a grant from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Mr Swinney, North Tayside MSP and the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth, said: “This has been an excellent joint effort between parents, pupils and staff. A new learning and recreation area has been created and the children have taken part in a great project.

“It has greatly benefited from the tremendous efforts of parents and staff, working together with the children, and the grant money from RBS has been particularly welcomed.”
