STAFF at a Highland Perthshire school were overjoyed yesterday after receiving top marks from education inspectors.
Kinloch Rannoch Primary was visited in October last year and a new report has revealed they found “a stimulating environment both in class and in the school grounds”.
Her Majesty’s Inspectorate also highlighted the teamwork and commitment of staff to ensure the care and welfare of pupils, partnerships with parents, support agencies and the wider community, and the leadership of the acting headteacher in helping the school improve by evaluating its own work.
Children across the school were said to be starting to develop an understanding of their own strengths as learners and how they could improve.
Nursery pupils were keen to learn new things and showed confidence as they moved between activities, while progressing well with their literacy and numeracy skills.
Perth and Kinross Council’s lifelong learning convener Liz Grant said: “This is a very positive report for the school and reflects well on the work done by the acting headteacher and her staff.
“We will continue to work with the school to improve on the areas identified with HMIe and keep parents informed on progress.”
