Funding boost for advocacy services

A service for parents of children with additional support needs has been given £110,000.

The Scottish Government money will safeguard advocacy services, used by parents to challenge their child's education provision.

Minister for children and early years Adam Ingram said: "Most local authorities are doing an excellent job in meeting these needs, however there are occasions when a parent disagrees with the approach or education provision that their child is receiving.
