A Royal Marine killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan has been described by friends and colleagues as an "outstanding individual" and a "true gent".
Alexander Lucas, 24, from Arbroath-based 45 Commando, died in the blast in the Kajaki area of Helmand Province on Monday.
Marine Lucas, from Edinburgh, was due to leave the Marines and marry his fiancee, with whom he had a baby daughter, next year.
