Unions want fresh pay offer

Scotland's local authorities have been urged by two unions to table a fresh pay offer.

The call came from the GMB and Unite unions whose members have rejected a 3% rise for this year and 2.5% next year.

A third union, Unison - the biggest of the three with 100,000 members - has already voted to accept the offer.
