University honours singer Midge Ure

Singer and Band Aid co-founder Midge Ure is due to receive an honorary degree, his fourth award from a Scottish university.

Glasgow Caledonian University is the latest to honour Ure, from Cambuslang, for his musical and humanitarian achievements.

The former Ultravox singer will become an honorary Doctor in a ceremony on Wednesday.
