NHS 'not complacent' over targets

The top health official in Scotland vowed there would be "no complacency" as a report showed some national targets had not been met.

NHS Scotland admitted it fell short in cancer waiting times, ambulance response and staff sickness absence.

The service recorded some targets as "effectively" or "almost" met in areas such as childhood vaccination uptake and cardiac investigation.
