Crisis-hit panto given go-ahead

A children's pantomime which had been threatened with police action has been given the go-ahead after a safety check.

Bosses at the village hall in Culter, near Aberdeen, had previously been told criminal charges could follow if they proceeded with their production of Aladdin this Wednesday.

Aberdeen City Council's licensing department said the hall needed a theatre licence for the five-date show.
