Crofting taught to school pupils

School pupils have been taught the art of crofting for the first time following the launch of a new course.

Lessons on soils and crops, livestock and the history of crofting are among the features of the latest vocational course to be taught in the Western Isles.

A crofter will assist the teacher in delivering the course, which is being taught at Sgoil Lionacleit on Benbecula.
