Fewer aware of information law

People's understanding of freedom of information law has decreased from last year in Scotland, a poll has revealed.

Men are also twice as likely as women to have made a request for access to information from public authorities, which can include councils.

Two thirds of people also back moves to extend the legislation to cover organisations including housing associations, according to the study by the Progressive Scottish Opinion.
