Rural community welcomes Queen

The Queen is due to meet members of the farming community on a tour of rural Scotland.

The monarch will see a sheep being sheared and attend a livestock show as she visits Dumfries and Galloway accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh.

A trip to Wallets Marts in Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, is one of a number of engagements the royal couple are undertaking during their annual summer stay in Scotland.
