PERTHSHIRE’S fledgling rural photographic library is appealing to all amateur photographers to submit their favourite spring pictures.
The ambitious project to establish Perthshire’s most extensive rural picture library was launched in February by local adventure company Highland Off- road at Dunkeld and already dozens of visitors to the Big County have submitted their contributions to the winter scenes section.
And with a Wild Perthshire luxury tour gift voucher for two up for grabs each time in the seasonal competition, happy snappers are already vying to produce the best spring study.
Dougie Telfer from Kelso won the winter section with this snow covered scene taken at Ben Vrackie, near Pitlochry, and organisers of the new project are delighted at the early response.
Partner at the Highland Offroad and Land Rover Experience Scotland centre, Graham Clark, said that the standard of submission to the site has been very impressive.
“As the project gathers momentum it will grow into one of the area’s most impressive photographic records of rural Perthshire,” he said. “Formalising the expanding photographic database will also allow everyone the chance to view them on our website.”
Submitted photographs to the Perthshire photographic library project can feature landscape, wildlife, rural life, weather shots or any images to do with the area’s countryside environment.
Photographers keen to add their spring studies to the second stage of the database should visit www. wildperthshire.co.uk and follow the “Competition” link. This season’s competition ends on May 31.
