Prison gets a bear of a security guard

A LOUISIANA prison has landed a new, unexpected security measure in the form of a Black Bear.

No friend of Yogi, Boo Boo or Ranger Smith, the 400 pound bear is living in the vicinity of Louisiana Sate Penitentiary.

Warden Burl Cain said: “I love that bear being right where it is. I tell you what, none of our inmates are going to try to get out after dark and wander around when they might run into a big old bear.

"It's like having another guard at no cost to the taxpayer."
