Archery: Macmillan nurses targeted by the Dunkeld archers

A DOUBLE Portsmouth charity archery event at Dunkeld Park hosted by the Dunkeld Company of Archers, attracted 16 competitors from as far afield as Helensburgh.

Despite the unsettled weather conditions, some good scores were achieved, notably by Ian Hendy (recurve barebow) with 119, 775, and Bosco Hazard (English longbow) with 118, 610, while Eddy Buchan, manager of the Dunkeld Park Shooting Academy, won the Wand Competition.

This was an inaugural event for the Dunkeld Company of Archers who raised £146 for the Macmillan Nurses. Thanks also go to the generous support of local businesses.

These include names such as McEwens of Perth, Dickson and MacNaughton and the Scottish Liqueur Centre.

The Lady Paramount for the day was Victoria Buchan.
