Swimming: Club make splash in assessments

PERTH City Swim Club made a splash with their swimming assessments.

Club president Stuart Ferguson said 14 youngsters were successful, with 30 up early in the morning in a bid to stake a claim.

Trials will be arranged in the New Year.

Coach Ann Dickson was delighted with the response and the quality of youngsters keen to take to the water on the back of the GB success at Beijing.

The club is holding a ceilidh at Perth Concert Hall on December 27. Tickets are £7.50 per head and £34 for a family. They are available from committee members.
