IT’S the first Speedway Sunday of 2009 this weekend at Knockhill.

The Motorsport Centre will be running alternate sessions for track cars only and road cars only.

This has proved to be very popular by segregating the two types of vehicles.

Remember, if you have a track car, you need to have it scrutineered once a year, for a small cost, which checks all the safety aspects of your car.

This lasts for a calendar year, so if you had your car checked in November 2008, your car does not need checked again until November 2009.

Finally, there is a noise limit of 105db for all track cars.

If your car is excessively noisy, organisers warn it should be sorted before turning up on Sunday.

We will have our noise meter out doing checks!!

Gates open from 9am, with track action from 10am.

Pre-bookings can be made, saving £10 on the on-the-day price and it's only £5 for spectators.
