ANOTHER good performance from Almond Valley saw the home side end as comfortable victors at Doo’cot Park on Sunday.
Kinross XI were the visitors this time and upon losing the toss were asked to bat first.
Tight, accurate bowling saw the score contained to 94 all out with the highest scoring batsman being the aggressive-hitting John Ross.
S Marshall took an excellent 4-20 and A McKenzie and J Taylor two wickets apiece.
In reply, Valley managed the runs within 28 overs for only the loss of three wickets.
P Walters top scored with an excellent 46 not out to see the side home with time to spare.
Next week should establish whether Valley can reach the finals of both midweek cup competitions, if the weather stays fair, and on Sunday they visit Scroggie Park to play Falkland XI.
