Hockey: Mixed summer games are experience for all players

WITH the first of the eagerly awaited, three inter-Perthshire mixed summer hockey sessions having not yet been played when this article goes to press.

So it is with some anticipation of an enthusiastic and vibrant season that this is written.

These mixed summer sessions will be held at Craigclowan on Edinburgh road, Perth and are the pre runners to our full hockey season.

The second and third sessions follow on July 29 and August 5 and run from 6–7.30pm. All are welcome, come along and enjoy these great sociable sessions.

It will be great to see some experienced and less experienced players.

Proper training takes over the following week at the same time and the same venue:

Ladies start training on Tuesday, August 11–September 8.

Men start training on Wednesday, August 12–September 9.

There is one exception to this, Craigclowan is unavailable the week of August 18 and 19 so only for this week training will be at Strathallan School from 6–7.30pm.

As the season progresses into the autumn, men's training moves to Strathallan on September 16 under the floodlights, from 7.30–9pm and the Ladies moves indoors to Bell's Sports Centre on Tuesday, September 15.
