Hobby horses in action at Perth Racecourse for Sport Relief

PERTH Racecourse hosts one of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles on Sunday.

Organisers are inviting participants to get into the spirit of the racing world and cover the distance on a hobby horse.

Perth Racecourse’s general manager Sam Morshead said: “We would like to encourage everyone who lives locally to do their bit for Sport Relief and enter the Perth Racecourse mile.

“By taking part, participants will not only enjoy a fun day out but also raise sponsorship to help poor and vulnerable people both here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.”

The event will set off from the Grandstands at 11.30am on Sunday and although hobby horses are optional, participants are encouraged to get creative and design their own hobby horses. Prizes will be given to the most creatively designed hobby horse as well as to the participant with the fastest time.
