Snooker: Scott Donaldson clears up in latest youth final

TEENAGE snooker star Scott Donaldson came from two frames down to clinch a prestigious title.

The Perth High pupil defeated Scott Roarty of Bonnyrigg 4-2 to win the Scottish Under 16 Series’ fifth event at the Shandon Snooker Club in Edinburgh.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, Donaldson defeated Lee Mein (Edinburgh) 3-0, while Roarty overcame Jamie Toal (Glasgow) 3-1.

With only one event remaining this season, Donaldson (16) remains second in the national rankings, and is set to fight it out with Ross Muir (Musselburgh) for top spot.
