HIGH-OCTANE action was again top of the bill as local drivers showcased their skills at the Cowdenbeath Racewall.
There were 18 Formula II drivers at the track, including Gary Coffey (Abernethy) and Holly Glen (Inchture).
The opening heat saw Coffey go through to win from Chris Burgoyne and Lee Livingston, with Glen in ninth place.
Coffey picked up his second win of the night when he led home Livingston and Wagner in the next heat. Glen finished tenth.
MacMillan Jnr claimed top honours in the Ian Chapman trophy.
Coffey was back to winning ways in the Grand National, crossing the line ahead of Livingston and Burgoyne – with Wilson in seventh and MacMillan Jnr in eighth place.
There were 14 drivers in the Saloon section. Ian McLaughlin (Auchterarder) and Ryan Forbes (Stanley) flew the flag for the locals.
Kyle Hegg claimed the spoils in the first heat. McLaughlin took top honours in the second installment.
Shevill Jnr wasted little time in carving his way through the pack in the final.
As ever, the Stock Rods entertained and there was plenty of action in the Prostox.
Several drivers have fitted passenger seats to the vehicles for this Saturday’s CHAS night, where a share of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
In exchange for a donation, spectators can got whisked around the track to get a taste of the high-octane sport.
The Stock Rods, Hot Rods, Ministox and Prostox will all be racing for the Scottish Championship.
The racing starts at 6pm but the Stock Rod drivers will be showcasing their talents earlier in the afternoon in an effort to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
