RESULTS from championship finals, Strathmore BC (July 26): Junior Singles – David Gray (Invergowrie) 21, Gavin Harris (Burrelton) 19. Singles – Brian Tait (Spittalfield) 21, David Hendry (Stanley) 15. Pairs – Luncarty 17 Kinnoull 15. Triples – Caledonian 16, Glencarse 6. Fours – Bridge of Earn 16, Stanley 13.

Senior Fours – Caledonian 16, Auchterarder 11. Campbell Trophy tournament winner: Caledonian. Young Player of the year: Steven Myles (Stanley).

There are three unclaimed raffle prizes being orange 51, lilac 28 and white 60.

Perth Corporation League

RESULTS after 10 games (excerpt Dewars and Muirend – nine games played): CSSA 58 (+147), North end 48 (+112), Darnhall 43 (+80¼), Muirend 41 (+19), Letham 41 (+1¼), St Johnstone 34 (+12), Moncrieffe 31 (+6), Jeanfield 30 (+3), Central 27 (–42), PCSC 22 (–90, Dewars 20 (–118¼), Ex–Service 15 (–130¼). congratulations to CSSa on retaining the Perth Corporation league.

The league dance will be held in the Ex–Service club on Friday, October 17 at 7pm.

Auchterarder

The club were represented at two finals at the week end. Perthshire Finals at Strathmore BC on Sunday: a senior four were runners up to Caley BC, but redeemed themselves by winning the nominations senior fours at Stanley after coming from behind and playing an extra end against Bridge of Earn BC. Auchterarder Mens triples had a close game against Bankfoot BC in their final, again winning after an extra end. The teams were: senior fours at Strathmore – A Condy, T Belford, J Alsford, D Carmichael.

Glencarse

THE deadline for acceptance of entries to the 2008 Glencarse Open Pairs tournament has been extended by one week to Friday, August 10. Telephone entries can be made to Stewart Bell on Perth 860343.
