Outdoor Bowling Season

NOW that the season has commenced here are a few dates for your diaries.

The Scottish Bowling Association District 5 competitions:

Senior Fours – prelims May 18, followed by first round, May 21.

Fours – prelims May 25 and first round June 1.

Triples – prelims May 18 and first round May 25.

Pairs – prelims May 18, first round May 25.

Junior Singles – prelims May 25 and first round June 1.

Singles – prelims May 18 and first round May 25.

Mixed Pairs – first round May 24.

These competitions are sponsored by Bells Scotch Whisky and Dewars World of Whisky.

All finals expect Mixed Pairs to be held at Northfield, Ayr, July 29 –August 2.

West End Bowling Club

THE club is keen again this season to introduce new members and have put in place a series of coaching sessions which will run on a daily basis from April 25–May 9, from 2–4pm and 6–8pm. There is a sufficient supply of bowls and footwear for use by potential bowlers.
