Perth and Kinross YFA

FAIR City Boys are holding trials this coming Saturday at 11am, for any unattached players at Huntingtower, the home of Fair City Amateurs, for boys born in 1996.

Trails – only after May 31, can teams hold trials for unattached players and after June 30 they can then have open trials for any players if they are not attached to another club.

First Aid Course – the association hope to run a course in early August, but need a minimum 12 people to run one.

The cost will be £20 per person and will be free to anyone associated with a Quality Mark Club.

Football trials – a new team is starting in Scone at under 13s for next season.

Please note this has been cancelled.

Referee Course – A new class will be starting at Jeanfield Swifts Park on June 11 and will last for 12 weeks.

BANKFOOT Athletic YFC – U13s trials for players born on or after January 1, 1996. Trials will be held tomorrow (Saturday), from 12.30–2.30pm, at Coronation Park, Bankfoot.

Luncarty Boys Club are looking for players to represent the club at U9 and U10 level in the Perth and Kinross YFA Leagues next season.

Players eligible for U9 if born after January 1, 2000 and U10 if born after January 1, 1999. Trials are being held at Luncarty football pitches on Thursday, June 19 (6.30-8pm) Contact Mark Christie on 07958 032608.

GANNOCHY/Jeanfield Swifts Youth FC U16s – trials are being held for any unattached players at North Muirton on Sunday (June 8), at 2pm. Players born after January 1, 1993, wishing to join, should contact Stuart, tel 01738 553431.

Letham U17s (sponsored by Exile Clothing) – A good 6-2 win at Bridge of Earn last Sunday. Highlight in the game was the successful penalty kick taken by the goalkeeper S Baird. Season end presentation takes place at the Saints Club on Sunday, June 17.

Letham U16s (sponsored by Design Floor Studios, Auchterarder) – The team hold their end of season presentation in the Ex-Service club on Sunday (4pm).

Letham U14s Tangerine (sponsored by A.De Cecco, Ceramic Tile Cont.) – Training is at Seven Acres on Tuesday evening from 6.30pm. Any unattached players wishing to participate are welcome.

Letham U13s White (sponsored by Johnson Apparelmaster) – Training on Thursday at 5.15pm. Parents versus players game planned for Sunday at 11am.

Letham U10 Tangerines (sponsored by Turriff Contractors) – The local Blairgowrie team found the older Tangerine team too strong at Davie Park last Sunday. The mid week game against Kinnoull was a close run game with the Tangies just having the edge. On Sunday they visit Breadalbane/Strathtay. Colin seeks assistance from parents and supporters with transport.

Letham U9 Tangerines (sponsored by SCR) – A terrific end to end derby game against the Whites last Sunday with the Tangerines just shading it before a large appreciative crowd. Visit to Luncarty Orange this weekend. Steve will advise arrangements

Letham U9 Whites (sponsored by Rannoch Road grocer John B Tainsh) – The Whites played well against the Tangies last Sunday but were unable on this occasion to repeat their previous success.An all square game on Wednesday night with Luncarty.On Sunday they travel to play Kinnoull U9s. Meet clubhouse at 9.30am. Afterwards an awards presentation at Donskies for 11.30am.

Letham Girls U11 (sponsored by Scottish Hydro Electric) – The Tangerines failed to defeat Dundee United in the final of the League Cup played at Forfar losing 6-3 – despite playing their best football of the season. Tournament at Forfar on Saturday. Ian will advise arrangements. Appreciate parental help with transport.

Free football coaching for girls In order to encourage more girls to participate in sport and football in particular, the club is offering free coaching sessions. Girls in Primary 3, 4 or 5 are invited to attend the Thursday night sessions commencing at 6.pm. Girls in Primary 6 and 7 and S1 are invited to attend the Saturday morning sessions commencing at 10am. Venue is Letham Sports Club, Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham, Perth.
