Amateur football round up Aug 19

LAST season's division one champions Roselea underlined their plans to dominate all opponents by demolishing an unlucky Kinrossie by 13 goals.

Jackson and Scrymgeour each bagged a double brace supported by Ness and Edgar with doubles.

Mitchell and Dolan both scored for Letham United but it was to be in vain as Perth Villareal sneaked the win by the odd goal in five.

Veteran midfielder Stevie Cameron showed the Auchterarder young stars how to score rolling back the years with a well taken hat trick to see off new boys Errol.

Third division favourites Newtyle comfortably took three points at home to Strathearn while fairfield eased to win over the promising Letham Lads.

A double from Bonar inspired the Brig to an opening day win over Meigle.

Rattray went ahead against the run of play through Bruce, but found themselves 3-1 down at the start of the second half.

They fought back through a twice taken Nicoll penalty but a late free kick gave the points to Vale of Atholl.

The day’s top game was a hard fought match at Market Park and Vale of Earn managed to take their chances as doubles from Dawson and Revvie secured the win for the first division new boys over previous champions Letham.

Both Balmoral and Kettins shared a goal apiece and a point apiece in the only draw on the card.

Away wins for Alyth at Star and Wolfhill over Almondvale completed the weekend results.
