Perthshire Amateurs

BOTH Breadalbane and Roselea will go head to head to decide section one as both finished on seven points a piece following wins over Kinrossie and Methven.

Auchterarder booked a semi spot comfortably defeating nearest rivals Villareal as in form Patterson hit another hat trick.

Letham United ended their Smith League cup campaign with a moral boosting win over new boys Errol as McPhail could be the answer to their striking problems with a well taken hat trick.

Bridge Of Earn, as expected, took full points and top spot with an eight goal blitz of Strath and Newtyle defeated close rivals Meigle by the odd goal in five.

Fairfield qualified at the expense of Rattray with a high five on the day and Letham Lads after a long trek north fell a goal short of their first ever point.

A Jekyll and Hyde St Johns found themselves two goals down at the break after a poor first half team display, but bounced back strong second half as Don and Carle found their scoring touch.

Both Royale and Kettins with nothing to play for served up an exciting eight goal thriller and a share of the points on the South Inch.

Letham are now finding their feat and ran out comfortable winners after their short trip down to Tay Thistle, while their group rivals slipped up at home to Bridgeton Utd who had taken the lead through a Sherrit penalty.

The Vale equalised and had their own penalty to take the points but missed. In Section 7 all ties were division 2 affairs and both title favourites Burrelton and Almondvale got crucial close wins over Wolfhill and Star Of Atholl Respectively. Coupar Angus rounded off the day with a win by the odd goal in three as the reliable feaks got the winner.
