BRIDGE of Earn sit top of the tree on merit alone as although they gave up a lot of possession to the defending champions, their better finishing in front of goal reaped them the points and more pressure on the Roselea gaffer. Ballinluig produced the shock of the day as they leapfrogged St Johns after a good away day. Vale have division one’s only 100% record as they blitzed Coupar Angus as Cruickshanks, Revie and Findlay were all at the double after struggling first half, and finally Letham found some form to outgun Balmoral at Davie park. Wolfhill travelled north and walloped seven past the Start keeper without reply. Alyth cruised to three points at home to Thistle and Kinrossie stole the win late as Vale of Atholl pushed for a winner. Burrelton like the Vale are still 100% in their division after a great eight over Letham Utd while Stanley and Fairfield, and Almondvale and Bridgeton Utd could not be separated and went home with a point each.
Villareal are hot on their heels as Hay, Hope and Campbell ensured all three points over the Lads. Meigle at home to Kenmore hit a big six through McKinnon (3), Kippen, Carle and McIntyre as did Kettins away to Errol with Tosh (2), Beattie, Reid, Shepherd and McCulloch all on target. A double from MacRae and a scorcher from Sweeney was enough for full points in Comrie’s derby over the Strath and Newtyle keep going about business with a solid win away to Rattray.
