HOT on the heels of the Scottish, the North of Tay Cup kicks into action this week.
Undefeated Burrelton entertain cup favourites Carnoustie while the prize on offer for Auchterarder and Kelso is a second round crack at Fair City.
The tie of the second round sees St James travel to face Ballinluig while NCR face the longest trip to Pitlochry to face the Vale.
Breadalbane and Coupar should advance at the expense of Villareal and Thistle respectively.
Rattray and Gateway should be close with home form enough to see the Blair boys through while a local derby pits Alyth and Newtyle together in a potential fiery affair.
Roselea who dropped valuable points in the league to the brig will look to steal the win. On league duty every game for Balmoral is a must win and getting any points at the Vale is a very tall order. Two teams in poor form do battle as Star travel to Almondvale and Kenmore will hope the rain stays away this week so their tie with Comrie goes ahead.
RESULTS (October 11): Scottish Cup second round replay – Caird Park 1, St Johns 3; Michelin 2, Meigle Vics 4; Bridge Of Earn 2, Burrelton 3; Almondvale 1, Vale Of Atholl 2.
