SCOTTISH Cup day saw 11 local teams on duty, with seven living to fight another day at a different location as six ties were all square at the final whistle.
Robertson and Innes twice had Auchterarder in front only to be pegged back by Burrelton in an all-Perthshire affair.
A goal from Fraser, with his last game for Ballinluig for the next six months earned them an away replay to Dumbarton Rock as did Ewan and Whytock for Balmoral as they now travel to Kilbarchan of Paisley.
Letham Utd were 3-1 up and coasting through Sherrit, Young and Haire after their long journey to Wick to play Hallkirk until they were reduced to 10 men and battled to a replay after losing two late goals.
St Johns were on top form with Campbell striking up the band against Lads Club of Aberdeen. Carle scored with a double brace, but a 30-yard lob over the six-foot keeper.
Vale of Earn were trailing by a solo strike nearing the end of their tie at Echt and were unfortunate to lose two further breakaway goals as they pushed for an equaliser.
Martin notched the opener for Bridgeton and Sherrit doubled the lead before Star pulled one back just before half time. McLellan restored the two-goal lead within a minute of the restart and Stewart added a fourth before the Star reduced the deficit to two, but Martin completed the scoring for the home side.
Cowie rolled back the years for Stanley as a quick fire hat-trick in the first 25 minutes ensured three points over Vale of Atholl.
Wins as expected for Thistle, Alyth and Almondvale keep the Second Division title race open.
Comrie went goal crazy which was unlucky for Errol as they were hit for 13 without reply. A hat-trick for Young was doubled by McLean as the woe continues for the Errol manager Russell as he finds the step up from the Sunday league harder than anticipated.
Kettins earned the result of the day as Beattie, Smith and Tosh ended the league leaders Methven’s 100 per cent record. Villareal were boosted by the Methven defeat as another three points put them top while Newtyle lost further ground being held at home by Gateway.
Congratulations to Kenmore who posted their first win and points in their first ever season over Letham Lads.
