Perthshire Amateurs look ahead to weekend

LETHAM will be hoping to do the job second time round after their stalemate last week.

Burrelton, St Johns and Vale of Atholl are confident their ties will go ahead versus Bishopton, Uddingston Anvil and Broughty United respectively, while Roselea head to Inverclyde.

On Cup duty, Coupar Angus will be tested in the first round of the Perthshire against young guns Letham Lads as Fairfield will look to cause an upset against first division basement boys Balmoral.

Bridge Of Earn should have the festive measure of Almondvale while Star versus Strath and Comrie versus Gateway look hard to call.

In the Ashleigh Cup there is an all division three battle as Villareal head to Meigle, Breadalbane will be tested at Kettins while Methven and Kinrossie continue their rivalry.

On league business the only game in the top division has Ballinluig travelling to an understrength Auchterarder.

Wolfhill travel to Alyth and try their tie at the third attempt while Letham United will hope for a better result in their reverse at top of the table Stanley.

Both Errol and Royale will do battle for the chrimbo bottom spot while Newtyle host the Kenmore youngsters who are raring to play.
