Perthshire amateur football news Mar 20

WITH a plethora of cup games on offer this weekend, Perth Royale will look to take advantage on Bridgeton’s cup slip up to advance in the Perth district cup while it’s a a battle of the Earns as Brig host the Vale to advance in the West District Cup.

Two more North Perthshire ties have Star travelling to Kenmore in the league cup while Methven host Ballinluig for a Birks cup final spot.

On league duty, Letham are on a good run and start favourites away to Breadalbane.

Auchterarder will be looking to do the double over Roselea this term while Balmoral Utd in search of points could not have hosted St Johns at a better time after their recent dip in form.

Burrelton with one point in nine face a tough ask to get back on track at Tay Thistle who have started to pick up wins.

Alyth lie in wait for a happy result, but she be cautious of Almondvale if they play to their potential.

Leaders Stanley head North to the Vale and will be surprised if they do not leave with full points.

Fairfield host Wolfhill for mid table honours while another defeat for Letham united at home to Kinrossie will all but resign them to the drop.

In division three there are a couple of crackers as Letham Lads head to Newtyle and Comrie Rovers await the visit of leaders Perth Villareal and come 5pm the promotion race should be made a whole lot clearer. Away from the bottom but too far from promotion, points for places are a must for the Strath at home to Gateway and Rattray on their travels to Meigle.

Kettins will look to return to form at home to Errol.
