AUCHTERARDER’S Prostar community six-a-side league saw Glenburn Giants record a comfortable 5–1 win against Earnvale Thistle in the opening match of then night.
Unathletic Madrid produced a fine performance as they ground out a 3–0 victory against a hard working Langtoun Forres Mechanics side who never gave up despite trailing from early on in the match.
Where is Sophie picked up two important points as they saw off Saints United 4–1 in what was an open, end to end match.
Both sides played some good football but Sophie’s quality eventually shone through.
Langtoun Locomotiv and Udineasy did battle in the final match of the night and it was the former who came out on top, scoring two second half goals to secure a 3–1 win which lifts them into third place in the table.
League Secretary Paul Spacey said: “Where is Sophie remain unbeaten and they look like strong favourites for the title at the moment, however it is still early days and there is plenty of football to be played yet.”
There are four places available for new teams to join the new Division One starting soon. Any new teams interested should get in touch with Prostar Leagues on 0870 3300888 or register online at www.eurosixes.com
