Perthshire Amateurs news Apr 3

A FULL programme of midweek ties kick into place this coming Tuesday with most clubs required to compete in up to four games in the space of seven days due to backlogs.

The main contest in the first division will see the top two pitched together as St Johns host Bridge of Earn, while over at Seven Acres title favourites Letham will be looking to complete a hat-trick of wins over city rivals Roselea.

Basement boys Ballinluig will travel to Auchterarder in desperate need of points to avoid the drop.

In division two, stuttering Stanley should be too strong for Letham Utd who have only picked up six points after completing half of their league programme.

Alyth can go top if they manage to overcome Bridgeton United at home.

Outside the promotion hopefuls, Tay Thistle should continue their good form with a win at home to Star.

Vale of Atholl visit Fairfield while Almondvale will be looking to make amends for last week’s defeat at home to Kinrossie.

In division three, the game of the day is the visit to Villareal by Kettins.

Comrie will hope to capitalise on any slip-ups by taking the points against Errol.
