Perthshire Six-a-Side Superleague news Apr 10

PERTHSHIRE’S Prostar community six-a-side Superleague saw Where is Sophie continue their amazing winning streak as they saw off a hard working Unathletic Madrid outfit 4–2 in the night’s opening match in Superleague One.

Udineasy and Glenburn Giants battled out arguably one of the most entertaining matches of the season.

Both teams fought it an end to end encounter that was packed full of excitement and goalmouth action.

A draw would have been fair, as the scoreline seemed to be heading towards the final whistle.

But Udineasy snatched the points at the end of the night, winning 4–3 following a late goal.

Earnvale Thistle produced a professional display as they defeated Saints Utd 3–1.

United were in confident mood after last weeks first win of the season, however Thistle proved too strong in the end.

Langtoun Locomotiv took on rivals Langtoun Forres Mechanics and breezed to a surprisingly comfortable 6–0 victory which lifts them into second place.

League Secretary Paul Spacey commented, “Again it was a case of nearly every match tonight being very closely fought which is fantastic for the league.

“We still need a few more teams to fill the new Superleague Two and hopefully we can get kicked off in April to add a new division and a bit more spice to the league.”

There are four places available for teams to join the new Superleague Two starting soon. Any new teams interested should get in touch with Prostar Leagues on 0870 3300888 or register online at www.eurosixes.com.
