THE fashionable scoreline of the day in the first five cup matches was two to one.
Roselea edged a tense encounter against second division Coupar Angus in the North of Tay quarter final to set up a mouthwatering semi-final against bitter title rivals St Johns.
Carnoustie YM booked an all-Midlands semi-final against Riverside after securing a tough away win at Comrie, with a goal in each half to control the tie where Comrie could only muster a late consolation.
Both Letham clubs advanced to the semi-finals of the Perth District Cup as Letham Lads edged Tay Thistle and Letham finally found some form to shock Division Two's runaway leaders at Seven Acres.
St Johns rounded off the ties, sneaking past Craigie by the odd goal in three.
In the Marshall Cup, Rattray booked an expected semi final place while Balmoral Utd racked up a staggering 22 goals at Meigle.
Auchterarder were on the goal trail also at home to the Brig in the West District Cup thanks to double from Cunningham and Kirkcaldy and they will meet Vale of Earn in the final after Strathearn Grove kept their tie level at 90 minutes.
However, Grove agonisingly fell short in extra time after going down to nine men.
On league business, Alyth crashed to a shock home defeat to an under strength Breadalbane, who had multiple injuries and a number of players away in London for the national team game, but shocked and gained three precious home points with a single goal victory.
In Division Two strikes from the in-form Thorne and Gallacher secured maximum points and possible a late push for promotion for the Vale.
In Division Three Newtyle racked up another comfortable three points in their stroll to the league title, sidestepping a tricky away tie at Kenmore while a five goal blitz for Glenfarg, put paid to Star's title hopes.
